On-Site Services:
There is a $99. minimum charge per on-site
visit, which includes up to one hour of on-site consulting or services. There
is no additional travel surcharge for travel time to your
site, for most locations in and around Austin, and as
far east as Bastrop, Smithville and La Grange (within city limits). Time
spent beyond the initial hour is charged in quarter-hour increments at the
same hourly flat-rate (i.e., $24.75 per quarter-hour). State sales tax is
collected
when applicable, depending on the type of services provided (sales
tax is always collected on merchandise sales).
Off-Site Services:
Off-site services, such as telephone consultations,
remote-support sessions via the internet, data recovery, research work, etc.,
are all billed at the off-site hourly rate of $88. per hour and
are charged
in
tenth of an hour increments... Please note: offsite consultations
or troubleshooting via phone, email, and/or remote desktop (screen-sharing)
will incur a minimum charge of $39. per episode (no charge for initial consultations
of
five minutes
or
less

I can help you that quickly, it's FREE!). Off-site support services must
be paid in advance or by credit card at the time services are rendered, unless
you are an established client who is in good standing.
Payment for Services:
In most cases, payment is due at the time
services are rendered. The Mac Guru accepts the major credit cards shown
above, or payment in cash or by check. Projects where work will
occur in increments, over more than one day, will usually require a 50% downpayment
of the estimated total amount.
Discounts:
Clients who utilize The Mac Guru's services
on an ongoing basis are eligible for discounted hourly rates based
on the minimum number of hours per month (of services) that they require, starting
at a minimum of four hours per month.
